What Is a Theoretical Perspective and Why Does It Matter?
When you’re searching for a therapist, you may notice that each one describes their theoretical perspective or approach. Simply put, this means how a therapist thinks about the process of healing and growth—the lens they use to guide their work.
Every therapist has their own perspective, and finding one that feels right for you is an important part of building a good fit in therapy.
✨ My Perspective
I draw from many different approaches depending on your needs, because no two clients are the same. While I integrate a variety of evidence-based modalities, my foundation is always holistic, using a bio-psycho-social-spiritual perspective.
This means I see you as a whole person—mind, body, and spirit—not just a set of symptoms. Anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, or relationship struggles don’t exist in isolation. They are connected to your history, your environment, your body, and even your sense of meaning or purpose.
✨ Why It Matters
By working holistically, we can uncover not just what is happening, but why. Together, we look at patterns, strengths, and needs across all areas of your life. This allows us to:
- Address root causes, not just symptoms
- Build healthier relationships with yourself and others
- Foster resilience and balance in daily life
- Create lasting change that touches every part of who you are
✨ Therapy isn’t about forcing you into one framework—it’s about finding the approach that fits you best. My role is to walk alongside you, adapt to your needs, and support you in discovering healing and growth in ways that feel meaningful and sustainable.
